Visiting Javett-UP During Roadworks on Lynnwood Road

Despite ongoing roadworks on Lynnwood Road, Javett-UP remains open and ready to welcome visitors. While our main entrance is temporarily closed, alternative access routes are available to ensure you can continue enjoying our exhibitions, tours and public programmes.

Alternative Visitor Access

Visitors can access Javett-UP via the University of Pretoria South Campus entrance on University Road.

Visitors arriving by car are required to book both admission and parking before their visit.

Parking on South Campus is limited and access is managed through advance bookings to ensure spaces remain available for confirmed visitors.

Visitors arriving on foot, by e-hailing service or via drop-off do not need to reserve parking and may enter and exit via the UP South Campus gate.

Access for UP Staff and Students

UP staff and students may continue to access Javett-UP via South Campus and the pedestrian bridge connecting Main Campus. Advance booking is not required.

All exhibitions, tours, educational programmes and public events will continue as scheduled during this period. Drop -and -go is permitted at the South Campus entrance but parking must be booked in advance on Webtickets.)
